So Patriotic

Well I was up late last night making my first items as one of Krystal Hartley's guest CTers. I saw this idea for a flip flop book on Good Things Utah and knew I had to make one. I used Krystals part of the Patriotic Collab Kit at Faith Sisters and it's free with a $10 purchase. So get on over there to get yours. http://www.faithsisters.com/shop/
I created the pages digitally and then printed the 4 out ( I just used a portait size-8 1/2 x 11- and did half one page and the next on the other half) along with 4 of the solid colors for the backs of each page. I also printed a bunch of the elements to decorate the front of the flip flop.
I had to cut off the plasitc part that holds your foot on and rethread with ribbon. I used thin chipboard to make the template to cut out the pages- I used Mod Podge to adhere the pages to the chipboard. I punched holes in each page and put a star eyelet so it would be easier to thread the ribbon through. Tie the ribbon in a knot on the back of the last page. Then I added a whole bunch of fun ribbon and some cute mini tags with the digi stars on them. It really was so easy I may make another one with the other half of the flip flops. I did get the flip flops at Hobby Lobby for about $1.50 and I got a green pair so be on the lookout for my next one.
